About Room for Discussion
At the end of September 2008, the American bank Lehman Brothers failed. This bankruptcy had enormous consequences in the form of a financial crisis in the States as well as in the rest of the world. This started discussion about our system. What was happening? And how could this happen? At the University of Amsterdam, students erected Room for Discussion to discuss the discrepancies between actualities and their study books. Every week students of Room for Discussion organised an interview session of one hour related to the economy. Leading economists, politicians, entrepreneurs.
