Career Month

Show your talent!

Each year Sefa transforms November into the Sefa Career Month. This month consists of several events, each covering a different business field within the scope of Sefa and the faculty of Economics and Business. Fields that are covered during the Career Month includes accountancy, consultancy, finance and marketing. But besides these business events, the Career Month also includes the Conference.

The Career Month offers you the opportunity to get in contact with future employers and gives companies the opportunity to find you! Are you interested in organizing one of the events? Take a look at our vacancies to see which committees are open for new members! 

Conference

The grand opening of the Career Month was the Conference, where ' War for Talent' was the subject of the day: we asked each other what our talent was, talked about young people developing their talent and companies looking for new talent. A very interesting and inspiring day!

Consultancy Event

During the two days of the Consultancy Event several cases were cracked: from looking at the process of fruit growing and selling in order to help an educational program in Africa. Also, a jazz-duo brought a swinging end to this event.

Amsterdam Marketing Challenge

This day started of with an interesting speaker: Alfred Levi. He told us that the essence of marketing is to make people pay more for something that is worth less. After this introduction, the teams battled with each other to win the final case; the team that thought of a campaign for Coca-Cola Enterprises during the Olympic Winter Games of 2012.

Accountancy Tour

During the month of November, eight companies offered students the opportunity to get to know their companies. BDO, Grant Thornton, Mazars and RSM Niehe Lancée Kooij visited the Westerpark and offered an interesting case. PwC visited Gassan Diamonds and Deloitte the Pulitzer hotel. KPMG had a dinner with singing staff and Ernst & Young visited Carré. Conclusion; these inspiring days were a big succes!

Masters of Finance

Masters of Finance is a prestigious event for finance-students at the end of their study.

In two days the participants will meet four companies. During this 36 hour challenge, the participants will make four finance-related cases. Last year the 16 chosen students slept in the Hilton hotel and the winners were chosen by a.o. Arnoud Boot and Mathijs Bouman.
