Boas-vindas!

Welcome to the website of the Sefa Reserach Project 2012. After conducting research successfully in amongst others India, South Africa and Indonesia, this year’s committee thought of Brazil as a most exciting destination for this year.

Brazil’s economy is continually growing and has attracted a growing number of foreign investors. The Netherlands is already a key trading partner of Brazil, being their number three export destination as well as the second largest investor in the country. Also an enormous consumer market is present, and it is therefore a very attractive country for companies to expand their businesses in. Since the country is organizing World Cup Football in 2014 and Rio de Janeiro will be the host of the 2016 Olympic Games, the time is right to invest in Brazil.

Our aim is to do tailor-made research for companies with aspirations towards emerging economies at a cost-price. In the summer of 2012, a group of 17 highly motivated and talented students will fly off to Brazil to do field research specified to the needs of your company. Beforehand, the students will start doing desk research in the Netherlands and will prepare themselves for the actual field research in Brazil under the supervision of professors of the University of Amsterdam and by professional trainings.
