About the Study Trip
Purpose of the trip
The goal of the Sefa Study Trip is to broaden the horizon of 30 students by taking them to a foreign country. There the participants will visit companies, universities and cultural sights. By visiting companies, the students will learn how businesses operate in real-life and how the concepts studied at the university are applied there. The visits to local universities enable students to see academic life in a foreign country and also meet the local students. Moreover, Budapest is a very historic and culturally diverse city. By exploring the cultural sights, the participants will enhance their knowledge of the European and World history.
Last but not least, the Sefa Study Trip is a great opportunity to meet other students from the Faculty of Economics and Business and socialize with them in a foreign and exciting environment.
History
organized the first Study Trip in April 2011, when 30 students visited Istanbul. During their stay, the students visited KPMG, Akzo Nobel and Deniz Bank as well as two universities and the Dutch Consulate. The trip was a success, as the students saw many different sides of Istanbul and the companies there. In addition, students from different programmes shared their experiences and still keep in touch.
